Over 150 years ago a simple farmhouse was built on a hill in front of Cupramontana. Over the centuries it was used for the production of the typical Verdicchio wine and of cold pressed olive oil, for the animals as a stable and for the people as a dwelling house. It was always simple but functional and never wanted to be more than that. Sometime around the end of the 20th century the farm and the agricultural use of the immediate surroundings were discontinued for unknown reason. The animals and people moved away and the house was forgotten for decades.

In 2002 it attracted the interest of two wonderful Britons, who fell in love with the people of the region, the location, the view and the original condition of the house. For years the house has been restored and modernized with dedication and great respect for it’s history. The dust disappeared and without disturbing new materials or large conversions it became again what it has always been: an authentic and charming farmhouse.

Today it serves as a private residence all year round, all furniture and objects have a long, sometimes family or historical history. There are only a few modern things and only where it could not be avoided, it is very private and individual down to detail. And because it can get quite warm here in summer a pool has been spent to the house, which is of course available to all guests as well as the terrace accessible at the old ruin with barbecue. The property is completely fenced. If you travel with your dog, if it is well behaved and get along with our two friendly sighthounds, it is possible to let it run free without hesitation. Otherwise there is a leash obligation on the property. If you arrive by car a separate and spacious parking lot is available.
